The 13th Tour of South China Sea continued its fifth stage in Guangzhou on Thursday. Xu Gang from Hong Kong H-S-S Shanghai Sports Institute held on to the yellow jersey.

20 teams took part in the 117.5-kilometer Guangzhou stage.
Russian rider Sergey Kudentsov of Team Sports Club Macau was the stage winner. China National Team's Ji Xitao came in second. Star rider Wong Kam Po, leading the Hong Kong Pro Cycling team, finished in third place. Wong also led his teammates in support of Xu Gang. Xu finished 67th, but it was good enough for him to maintain the yellow jersey.
