By the end of 2010, the rural stores will provide 775 thousand jobs. To guarantee the service quality of the stores, the ministry requires operators of every rural store to have a certain amount of registered capital. In eastern China the minimum is at least 3 million yuan and in middle and western China it is 2 million yuan.

Meanwhile, the ministry plans to take measures to set up a service network for agricultural material supply and post delivery. They are also looking to create more job posts in rural areas.
