A pair of former Rangers teamed up for the Devils' opening goal. Brendan Shanahan fed a pass in front to Bobby Holik, who then shot it between Henrik Lundqvist's pads to put the Devils ahead 1-0.
Just 90 seconds later, Devils' captain Jamie Langenbrunner kept the puck in New York's zone and fired it to the front, where Parise steered it in for a 2-0 lead.
The Rangers entered the final period down by two goals for the second consecutive game. Parise sealed the Devils' 3-0 win with his 32nd goal this season, straight into an empty net.
