15 dead by smoke inhalation in east China bar fire accident

A fireworks accident in Chang Le city in China's southeastern Fujian Province has left 15 people dead.

Local authorities say the accident happened Saturday night, when about ten young people celebrating a birthday set off fireworks inside a bar.

15 people died of smoke inhalation after the ceiling caught fire. Another 17 are out of danger after being rescued, but three are still receiving medical treatment.
