The Belgian-Chinese Economic and Commercial Council has held its annual Chinese Lantern Festival reception in Brussels. More than 600 guests attended the event.

Council Chairman, Bernard Dewit, addressed the reception, saying China has become an important force in promoting world economic growth.
He also said Premier Wen Jiabao's recent European visit has strengthened Europe's confidence to develop economic and trade ties with China. Many entrepreneurs at the reception expressed a willingness to deepen cooperation with China.
