Chinese basketball team Shanxi Zhongyu sacked star import Bonzi Wells, the club said on Monday. The former NBA player failed to returned from a holiday in his native United States. His club,fans, the CBA officials and his broker all has different reations.

Wells stayed in Shanxi just for less than 50 days. The 32-year-old joined the club on December 12.
In his first game against Tianjin, he had 48 points and 11 rebounds. Acctually Wells averaged 34 points in his 14 games with Zhongyu.
Especially in the games against Fujian and Jiangsu, Wells shined with 52 points.
But his beautiful result didn't give too much help to the team. In his 14 games, Shanxi won 7 and lost 7.
The club coach Bob Weiss was not quite satisfied with Wells' performance.
Wells' one year contract led to the leaving of former import Donta Smith. Weiss belived Smith has cooperated with the other players longer, and he played more comprehensively on the court.
