Death toll from Haiti school collapse rises to 50

The death toll from the collapse of a church school in Haiti has risen to 50. That number could rise as rescuers search the rubble.

Officials say they are not sure how many of the five-hundred students were in the school when it collapsed. Aid workers have already taken out almost 100 injured adults and children, half of them with life-threatening injuries.



UN peacekeepers and Haitian police are there to assist the rescue. It's unclear what caused the building to collapse. The school is located the hills above the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince.
