Chinese naval fleet treats injured sailor

A medical team with the Chinese naval fleet in the Gulf of Aden has successfully operated on an injured sailor. The sailor severed his forefinger working on a ship from Hong Kong.

A ship was dispatched for the rescue, sailing 5 hours at full speed immediately after receiving a distress signal. During a one-hour operation, surgeons cleaned the injured finger also providing anti-infection treatment.



The medical team also gave the injured sailor enough medical supplies to continue treating the wound.
