China Pacific Insurance Group has paid out 1.85 million yuan to the families of six Chinese people killed in the bus crash on Friday. Most of the victims were from Shanghai, where a task force headed by Vice Mayor Zhao Wen has been set up to handle the accident.

The victims of the deadly bus crash in Arizona were part of a 20-member tour group that had flown from Shanghai to San Francisco. The bus was on its way to the Grand Canyon when the accident happened, an optional trip not included in the package price.
