Turning to the Italian Serie A. Juventus have cut Inter Milan's lead to six points, after beating Napoli 1-nil on Saturday.
Visiting Napoli were able to hold off strong attacks from the home side for most of the match. Keeper Nicolas Navarro was good at blocking a David Trezeguet shot from a close range, and an Alessandro Del Piero free kick. But the Goddess of Fortuna stood aside the hosts. On the stroke of halftime, midfielder Claudio Marchisio's shot looked to be going wide, before taking a deflection off Napoli's Manuele Blasi. 1-nil the final score.
