Protesters blocked roads and burned tyres while chanting anti-Israel slogans in several camps. Lebanon is the host to some 400 thousand Palestinian refugees. Shi'ite group Hezbollah also condemned the attacks and said Hamas would be victorious against Israel. In Cairo, hundreds of Egyptians protested. The head of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, Mehdi Mohammed Akef, wants Israel's ambassador to Egypt expelled and the abrogation of Egypt's peace agreement with Israel. Egypt's foreign minister has summoned the ambassador.

Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Egyptian Foreign Minister said "We summoned, or we are going to summon the Israeli ambassador in Cairo, in order to protest these actions in addition to demanding that Israel immediately stop these operations."

Meanwhile, Palestine also won Iran's support. Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad condemned the unprecedented wave of air strikes on Gaza. He says the Arab Foreign Ministers Council meeting will take place soon, and he hopes Arab leaders will take more of a stand.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President said "You can not find anything in history like what they are doing now. Putting a nation under such pressure and imposing a blockade on food, medicine and energy is without precedent. We support that and we hope that they will show some power. It should not be as such they gather together without any outcome. There should be some movement, words or statements."
