TCL sharpens its focus on LDC televisions

TCL Corporation says it has started to produce LCD modules on its own, to control costs more effectively, amid shrinking demand for LCD televisions.

LCD modules went into mass operation on Monday at the manufacturer's headquarters in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, with an expected annual output of 2.33 million units.



The company says it will be able to produce 3 million LCD TVs and 2 million LCD components each year upon the completion of the production line next year.
