This week, the Shenzhen Museum opened a new facility, dedicated to the development witnessed by the city during the 30 years of reform and opening up.

The new facility is located in the Shenzhen Citizenry Center. More than a thousand items and 12 hundred photographs are housed in the Reform and Opening Up Hall on the building's third floor. They're testament to the progress the city has seen over the past three decades.
To convey the message effectively, the museum has employed state-of-the-art technology, including multimedia demonstrations, virtual reality tours, mobile internet access and a digital audio commentary service.
The new facility won high praise from museum curators attending a national conference in Shenzhen. They spoke highly of the originality and innovation of the venue.
