An audit of the use of relief funds and materials after the May 12th earthquake has found no major problems. China's National Audit Office made the announcement on Wednesday after looking into the relief work of central, provincial and county-level government departments.
The auditors also spoke with thousands of quake survivors. Through November, total donations for the quake-hit regions amounted to over 200 billion yuan. No serious breaches of law or regulations were found, although management problems in a few regions resulted in 162 people being charged with violations.
