The seminar attracted more than 70 overseas Chinese working in financial institutions worldwide. Their positions range from senior stock traders to risk managers. Seminar organizers said they are looking for suggestions, as well as getting the message out that there are opportunities in Shanghai.

Wang Kairong, Deputy Director of Personnel Bureau of Pudong District Government, said, "We expect to attract more overseas Chinese in the financial sector to come work in Pudong and Shanghai as a whole. After all, they are culturally closer and can adapt to the local environment more quickly. Currently, we are facing a lack of financial professionals, especially experienced ones."
