An update now on the 4 trillion yuan fiscal stimulus package announced by the State Council early last month all 100 billion yuan of funds due to be spent by the end of the year have now been allocated to their respective projects.
According to the top economic planner, 10 billion yuan will go to the building of affordable housing, 34 billion yuan has been channeled into constructing rural infrastructure including roads and facilities for water supply as well as electricity. Another 25 billion yuan will be used to construct railways, highways and airports. 13 billion yuan has been set aside for healthcare, education, and social development. 12 billion will be invested in environmentally friendly projects, with the remaining 6 billion going towards the upgrade and restructuring of industries.
