Swiss skier Daniel Albrecht sustained brain and lung injuries and was placed in an induced coma after crashing in downhill training on the legendary Streif course at Kitzbuehel, Austria.

The crash happened when Albrecht came down in the practice on the infamously steep downhill course.the 25 year old lost control on the last jump and flew through the air for landing on his back badly. He lost consciousness and was airlifted by helicopter to the local St Johann hospital.the official race doctor, Helmuth Obermoser said that Albrecht had bleeding on the brain and a lung contusion.
