Yang Jie is in his final year as a finance major at Fudan University. When he applied for the course, he thought it would open many career opportunities. But the current financial crisis has forced him to rethink his future.

Yang said, "I have been to 30 to 40 job fairs, and I've also delivered more than 50 resumes and applications. Only 15 to 20 of them received a reply. I passed some of the written examinations, but after that nothing happened further."
